
Janice Wheeler, the Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at Sacred Touch, has been
practicing massage therapy since 1996 and has thousands of hours of
massage experience.
She is licensed by the State of New Hampshire to perform a variety of massage
techniques.
(Note: NH has established educational
requirements of 750 credit hours and 125 independent hours - the only state that
exceeds NH requirements is Nebraska. Some states require as few as 60 hours -
others have no licensing regulations at all. NH strives to set a professional
standard.)
She is also a Registered Professional Therapist with the American
Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and is also certified by the National Certification
Board for Massage Therapists and Bodyworks (NCTMB).
Janice also helps emergency response personnel deal with the stress of emergency
situations and has prepared herself to assist in this fashion by meeting all the
requirements necessary to participate as a member of the Massage
Emergency Response Team (MERT).
Her original training and licensing requirements were
completed at the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts, School of
Massage Therapy, in Hudson, NH.
She extended her education with Harvard Medical
School, North Eastern
Institute of Whole Health, New England Academy of Therapeutic Sciences,
Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies, and Exeter Health
Resources.

and catastrophic and chronic illness
conditions.
Janice has a thorough understanding of Holistic modalities and
personally practices these in her lifestyle.
She also served as a member of the National Kidney Foundation Patient Care
and and Education Committee from 1996 thru 1998.
Her studies in nutrition and alternative healing have been a way of
life since she was very young. It is her desire to help others maintain a
quality of health through education, nutrition, and complimentary therapies.
She has also been very active in community events as a long term resident of
Fremont.
Her professional direction includes working with and researching chronic
conditions.
